Where do "Doo Rags" fit in?

Muslim governments and people forbid others from bringing bibles or wearing a crosses, but the same Muslims would like to take advantage of the stupid liberals, and shove their desert cult religion on the West. Christian women are not allowed to walk around in Muslim countries without a head cover, no one can say to the dictators of these countries that you are denying their "civil rights"! Angry Muslim fanatics in N.J. slaughtered a whole family just for saying something that they did not like. Our government, and people need to understand that civil liberties, and tolerance are being taken advantage of by the activist Muslims, who have no intention to reciprocate the same treatments to minority religions in their native lands.

A Danish supermarket chain is free to ban employees from wearing religious headscarves at work, Denmark's High Court ruled on Friday.Good. Private employers ought to have the power to regulate their employees' on-the-job appearance and behavior.
If the employee doesn't like it, they can seek employment elsewhere.
This is a no-brainer.

How loudly will you scream when this supermarket chain bans its employees from wearing crosses?

PRECISELY! Banning the head scarf is all too often only an excuse to ban any Christian symbols. It's a clever ploy, and one we shouldn't support.

Thats not true.
The only country I know of (and Ive been just about everywhere in the Middle east) that outlaws the crucifix is Saudi Arabia and possibly Iran. You can buy a Bible or statue of the Madonna in most gulf countries in any of the malls.
Similarly the only countries which insist on head covering for all females is Saudi and possibly Iran.

I agree. I was alittle concerned after reading the article tittle, but this is a sound and reasonable ruling.

it's distracting to have someone's head all covered up. i also would be wondering if that person that works in and around food HAS A CLEAN HEAD. Aren't food service workers required to cover their hair?

It's a clever ploy, and one we shouldn't support. On the contrary - I believe that an employer's power to regulate the employees' on-the-job appearance and behavior is paramount.
A cross or star-of-David or crescent-and-star necklace or ring is a small thing, but, if government says that employers may not ban wearing those while on the job, where will it stop? What other policies will the government stop the employer from making?

Muslim headscarves are worse than Klan hoods A lot of Christian women wear headscarves for religious reasons too.

The headscarves are political symbols of repression and control. Have nothing to do with real religion.
