Draft No. 9 What George W. Bush might have said
MSNBC ^ | 1-21-05 | Patti Davis

Posted on 01/21/2005 8:22:32 AM PST by Imnotalib

Since every White House has its leaks, moles, spies and secret e-mailers, it was inevitable that an earlier draft—and accompanying commentary—would end up in the wrong hands. Fortunately those hands were mine, and it is my patriotic duty to make this draft public. We are still at this moment a free society, and I think I’m still protected by the First Amendment (though I’m not completely sure about that.)

“My fellow Americans, I stand before you now as the proud winner of another four years. I have a mandate. In plain English, I can do whatever I darn well please.” (Note to Prez: a bit hostile, I think. Can we get the word freedom in as soon as possible?)

“It is the policy of the United States, as long as I’m in charge, to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture. If those places don’t want democracy, we will move in and do it for them. They don’t know what’s good for them. I do.” (Note to the president: Definitely use the word freedom here. Freedom’s like ice-cream—can’t go wrong with it. Might even be able to get away with the moving in on them part then.)

“We will persistently clarify the choice before every ruler and every nation: it’s my way or the highway. I am eternally right. Fifty-nine million people said so. We will succeed in imposing our own style of government on the unwilling. I’m from Texas. I don’t give up. I’m a confident guy—everyone knows that. I talk with a twang, I walk with a swagger and I carry a big stick. (Note to Leader of the Free World: Lose this graph … please.)

How fun. Let's put dumb words in his mouth to show how dumb he is.

"I'm George Bush and I'm a big fat dumb head".

Clever stuff.

And why is MSNBC so dumb that they hire these people?

Because she is Reagan's daughter and they hope to embarass the Republicans.

I don't mind a good parody, but this is just not funny. Actually, it's quite pathetic.

She writes like a sixth grader - I agree this is a very poorly written column and unusual for Ms Davis, she typically does write much better. Give her credit, like most dems I imagine she was drunk by noon yesterday.

Since she is claiming that this "draft" is true, she should be protected by the First Amendment if it is, and sued for slander if it is not.....

Too bad most of the older generation remember how she reacted to her own father, and discount her. The younger generation has no interest in this 'unknown' woman because of bloodline. Their only interest would be if her message contributed to the depth of substantive discourse, rather than it frivolous riff raff, or if she had credible accomplishments to call her own.

As neither is true her only value to the public square was as a daughter of Ronald Reagan. In the capacity of daughter addressing father, she is entitled to speak. In elaborating on President Bush and his policies she is allowed to speak, but her words will go unnoticed.

We will succeed in imposing our own style of government on the unwilling.

She is right on this point. There are many murderous tyrants who are "unwilling" to accept a our style of freedom.

What these leftist Dimwits ignore is that Iraq will elect their own government, who will write their own Constitution. It will not be OUR style of government, it will be the Iraqi people's style of government. This is what upset's leftists the most. When people choose their own government, they never choose Communism or tyranny...Leftists ALWAYS lose!

This seditious babbling by the chattering intellectuals and journalists must be finished once and for all. We are in a war, and treason must be smashed, preferably before it is able to manifest itself and work its poison. President Bush should take bold measures and arrest pointy-heads and reporters who seditiously question the war and thereby give aid and comfort to our enemies. The fighting troops deserve nothing less.

Left to their own devices, however, Iraq (and most other predominantly Muslim countries) WILL choose an Islamic theocracy, which is as bad as Communism and dictatorship - in fact, it IS dictatorship by another name and for another reason.
If we allow another Islamic theocracy to be established, we might just as well have left Saddam in charge.

The "dumb" seem to be more susceptible to the cultural psychosis induced by Islam.
