The Prayer Serviceis starting now
Man, I like him.....bet his church is packed!!!
Closing with a story from Moses....about Pharaoh's army having the Israelites trapped.
In the most difficult of times, God has a way of opening a new door and showing us a new path.
he is a good minister....he keeps your interest and you understand what he is saying to you...
Offering is designated to "On the Home Front", an organization dedicated to helping the troops abroad and their families at home.
Pop had to give Dubya money for the offering....LOL
This is a hymn the choir is singing I don't know. It is beautiful, though.
At the same time I saw the President giving the VP money for the offering. It was funny watching.
Reminds me of my minister. Informal and to the heart. Point by point. Some humor, honest, and devoted to Christ.
I don't often see ministers with his style deliver sermons at official events, but it's as if a member of my own home Church was speaking.
I wish there was a program on the internet for this service. I found one for the Reagan funeral and was able to read or sing all the hymns. I searched and couldn't find one.
Thank you. I caught some words from the Psalm towards the end, but I didn't know it was a traditional choral arrangement. It was very nice.
All the ministers, priests, and rabbis are now each taking a portin of te government or a section of society and praying for them.
Reagan's funeral at the Cathedral was lovely. Remember the Army chorus singing "Mansions of the Lord" as the recessional? That was glorious.
Now te congregation is praying "The Lord's Prayer."
Rev. Mary Sulerud! She used to the Rector of my church!
Presbyterian appearing pastoress doing the prayer.
My Country Tis of Thee (Or God Save The Queen)
Now singing "My Country Tis Of Thee."
"Let freedom ring!"
That was soaring.
That song was one reason I was glad I had a program. I could read the words. Also, I didn't know the name of that song then.
