I heard Joe Lieberman praising the speech this morning!
I honestly interpreted the speech as the Bush Doctrine writ large and I think Peggy doesn't get it.
I'm still mulling over her charge that they were "defensive" about the choice of music. That is one odd charge to make, IMO.
Well, first of all the committee chose the music, and the committee was headed by Trent Lott. I liked some of the music but not all of it. At any rate, why stick the music criticism in there, when she has to know that the President didn't choose it?
