Cspan1 now re-running the first family at the Liberty Ball earlier.
She alluded to other movements of Freedom before in our country, my mind flashed instaneously to Reagan. I do think you are correct a touch of jealousy colored her remarks unfortunately. No one disputes Reagan's accomplishments, well, not too many today have the courage to dispute him openly as they did in the '80's.
This speech doesn't diminish Reagan or anything she wrote. But, she's human I suppose we can grant some leeway.
That's ringing a bell. I just know I can't stand her but my memory is lousy so I can't remember why :-)
I hope the Lord won't think me selfish and vain if I say a prayer that I hope I am blessed with such charms when I am her age.
There won't be a more riesque Inauguration dress in the Smithsonian than this one - I've seen them, and this one and Nancy's red one are my favorites.
So how does Peggy expect anyone to believe anything she says if she says totally opposite things within 8 hours?
I bet in person Laura's gown is the best looking gown in town.
Lighter colored gowns lose something on camera.
I think green always looks nice on blondes.
Again, Barbara's dress is probably stunning in person but being light it losing it's 'pop' on camera.
Or Dubya in blue jeans.
Yes, Miss Marple. I KNOW that I wasn't hearing things earlier when she spoke of her love for Dub's speech.
Is she on MSNBC this evening? She was on Fox's panel this afternoon when she liked the speech.
Something to think about: Did anyone notice that this day was protected and preserved by God? Were there terror attacks on our soil? Did our quiet defenders and service personnel do a fabulous job? Were the members of the first (and second and extended) family all in good health? Did our children see a President they can emulate without regret? Is this the greatest country on God's green earth? Are we mindful of His mercies and grace....and thankful for what we have witnessed this day?
All I can say is, praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

I'm going to contradict many and state I love Barbara's dress. I like the color of Jenna's, but the elegant simplicity of Barbara's is more to my taste. Both lovely though, each correctly reflects the character of the one they adorn.
