FBI Adds 10 Names to List in Boston Threat

By CURT ANDERSON, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - The FBI (news - web sites) on Thursday added the names of 10 Chinese to the list of those being sought for questioning about a possible terror plot targeting Boston.
Two law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, said the names were part of the same anonymous tip that led authorities on Wednesday to announce that they are seeking to question four other Chinese and two Iraqis.
The officials said the tip remains uncorroborated and there is no credible evidence that such a plot exists.
It was unclear why all the names were not announced at the same time. The officials said there was no new information that led to the addition of the 10 names.
A third federal law enforcement official in Washington, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said the tip was received Wednesday by the California Highway Patrol. The tipster claimed the four Chinese two men and two women entered the United States from Mexico and were awaiting a shipment of "nuclear oxide" that would follow them to Boston.
The official said the nuclear oxide could be a reference to material used to make a "dirty bomb" that would spew radiation over a wide area.

Gaaaaa... sometimes things just get away from me.
Well have a beer and sit back. Relax and play with that DOG. The BIG one. Stop thinking, relax man!
Three of them look like Mexican documents. See Shermy's post 72. The Mexican consulate web page I looked at said that red chinese had to get special permission (200 pesos?) to get a visa....
The BIG dog is my wife's dog. He just lays there on the floor and looks at me. I'm not sure I trust him, but we have a mutual agreement. We allow each other to live here.
Rings true on the surface and may once have served their interests, but Chinese arms in a cave doesn't prove aid tacit or otherwise, from the PRC, and citing Debka doesn't add credibility to the idea.
The PRC doesn't (yet) wish a confrontation from it's biggest trading power, though they are pushing the envelope in their increased appetite for oil and support for sh*t heels like Chavez.
Of course, the PRC is divided, between Nomenklatura and Army the latter probably acting a lot like the Japanese Army prior to Pearl Harbor, thinking the U.S. speread too thin and Taiwan ready for the plucking. And, the long term goal is to drive the U.S. out of the West Pacific.
This is not their style, though.
Interesting how the PRC seems so tolerant of Islam and so intolerant of Christ. Interesting how they show so little interest in North Korea, except to contain refugees (can you imagine, fleeing North Korea to China? Riking getting caught, returned, and executed.)
I wonder if this is a diversionary manuver... Didn't OBL specifically target Red States prior to Election Day?
This is all very strange.
They appear to have been overstamped in Spanish, but the one shows part of the original Chinese along the right side. I'd bet they come from Mexican visas, whether real or fake. That doesn't mean the names used are accurate.
If they abandoned these documents in Mexico, it means they most probably have fresh IDs waiting for them in this country.
There is more here than meets the eye. How did they communicate with this coyote? Few Mexicans speak any Chinese and I doubt this bunch speaks Spanish. Answer: they all spoke English. This bunch is gonna be hard to find.
What chance any of them have been students in the US?
Thank your lucky stars that he doesn't know how to shoot a pistol. LOL
Thank you kindly, sir.
Indeed! I'm armed, and I control his food. LOL, we get along just fine.
Thats interesting,
>>This bunch is gonna be hard to find.<<
Your intelligence is stepping in front of your compassion again. Do not scare the citizens!
I can think of excellent reasons to rate those chances both high and low. Problem is, all we have is a coyote who probably only speaks Spanish and English. I doubt he could distinguish between any Asian languages -- and this bunch could pass inspection appearancewise as any of several nationalities.
Of the 10 new names, only 5 are holding Chinese passports. Who are the other 5?

""It's the same story with just 10 new names and we're not elaborating other than the names were developed through investigation. We're not elaborating on exactly where the names came from," said the FBI official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The new names on the FBI list included five people holding Chinese passports. The FBI said that like the four names released on Wednesday, none of the 10 new ones appeared previously on any kind of watch list. "
"I think the story about the phone call from unidentified mexican is a cover story. They needed to get this story out but not panick anyone so they invented the mexican mule."

I think you are right. There seems to be much more to this.
Sorry about that, but a very cold and ugly reality is busy trying to bite me in the fanny.
It's probably just one of em durn parasites or a tick. Sick one of them border snakes after it. That'll get it, for sure.
Really. Right now a chicken wire cage full of rattlers on the front porch seems like a good idea.
A few points of reasoning...
I could drop all four of these people in downtown Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Beijing, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi -- and nobody would give them a second look. Put a decent hair style on the guys and let the girls untie their hair and they would look totally different. Note the girls are wearing no cosmetics and imagine what the right touches would do to them. I know they all look young, but I place their ages in the 24-30 range.
They are coming to this country, so fairly fluent English is going to be a key to success. China and North Korea start their covert agents off at remarkably young ages, to include language training. Most filipinos are naturally fluent in English as it is the other official language, equal to Pilipino/Tagalog -- and they've had a full-blown Islamic insurgency there for well over a century.
There's no such thing.
