As a matter of fact, yes I have benefitted even from the reading of the Satanic Bible. It was while reading it that a full understanding of the difference between religions based in selfinterest, and religions based in self sacrifice. It gave me an even better understanding and admiration of Christianity. Only a fool can read any book, and find NOTHING to benefit from it.>>>
Only a fool needs to read The Satanic Bible in order to deepen one's faith in Christinity.
Sliding down a slippery slope sadly.

lol.. you ASSUME I am a christian. I may be, or I may not, but I have never actually stated a religious preference. My views are mostly Christian I guess, but probably not in line with some of the more pinheaded literalists. However, just to demonstrate how even reading such as that can improve your understanding... it was thru reading that, and the Bible, and others, and seeing the contrasts, which formed my beliefs that all religions are seperated into two basic camps... those based in self-sacrifice (selflessness) vs those based in self-interest (selfishness). Further, say one is doing a battle of philosophies with one who is, for instance, a satanist... how many Christians know the first thing about what they really believe? Not many. As such, the satanists can undermine you because they DO know what your philosophies are.. yet you have hamstrung yourself and entered battle unprepared because you cannot undermine, and point out inconsistencies in THEIR writings. I have made numerous satanists (or wiccans who claim to be different) reconsider their positions not because of anything the bible said, but by pointing out flaws and inconsistencies in THEIR "scriptures". This is not possible when one knows nothing of their ideas. You can armor yourself in the Bible, and surround yourself only with like thinking people.. and whose mind are you going to change? Not ONE. How many souls will be saved when you surround yourself with only the pious? None.. not even your own possibly since if you had MUCH strength of faith, you would not fear being surrounded by those whose thoughts are different from your own. And you certainly would not try to denigrate those whose opinions are different from your own, which is both UN-christian, and counterproductive. By understanding THEIR "scriptural" work, you take the fight from being merely defensive, in which they are attacking your scriptures and you are defending them... to the offensive, making them defend THEIR philosophies, fighting them on THEIR turf. And when one beats an opponent on HIS turf... it is much more convincing.
