There is an inherent evil in the words of the Koran, jumping out from every page, which you cannot find in the Gospels or the Geeta or the Dhammapada.

You are correct to say that a wicked Hindu does not mean that Hinduism is evil. You are correct to say that a wicked Christian does not mean that Christianity is evil.

But in the case of Islam, even if EVERY MUSLIM IN THE WORLD WERE THE MOST RIGHTEOUS, gentle, kind and charitable people, the Koran would STILL be evil. The Koran would be evil EVEN IF NO Muslims existed on the face of the earth.

This is because the beliefs and values which the Koran expresses are inherently evil and hateful and spiteful. The Koran describes Allah as a capricious being who damns and blesses whoever he feels like, and intentionally deceives the majority of "unbelievers", stopping their ears, blinding their eyes, MOCKING THEM, and consigning them to eternal torture with no hope of reform, while the righteous slop like pigs at a trough in a paradise of rivers of wine, and unlimited sexual pleasures with supernatural Houri virgins.

Any religion that portrays God in this fashion is evil and monstrous.

and as I said, being exposed to evil ideas will not harm one who walks with God. My faith is not threatened no matter how much of the Koran I should hear, nor how many of their prayers I hear them wailing. Those who are so influenced seem to me to be rather weak in their conviction in their beliefs.

I am not a Nazi, but I have read and feel I benefitted from Mein Kampf. I am not a Communist, but have also read and benefitted from the Communist Manifesto. Same goes for the Satanic Bible. IF a book IS evil, then it is all the more reason to read and understand what it is saying. One can never fully understand ones own position unless one has heard the opposing beliefs. The very fact that you are able to make a judgement upon the Koran would indicate you yourself had read it... and how would that knowledge be imparted to you if the book had not been available?

BTW.. and this is just a personal thought. It seems to me that all religions can be divided into two basic catagories. Those which are based in self-interest.. and those based in self-sacrifice. Christs death upon the cross is the definitive example of the philosophies of self-sacrifice. Those based on the opposite would then be serving whom?

Radicalism, no matter what the breed, seems to me to be the biggest evil of all.
