I look at it as a not so subtle jab at radical Muslims: hey, you use our freedoms against us, so we're using your religion against you.

We are a nation of many people. Whether they be a Newdow, who believes in the inalienable right to be a annoying pissant, or a Christian, Jew, or Muslim. America is not a Christian nation, it is a nation founded on many rights, including the right to practice whatever religion befits you.

Oh.. and by the way..
as a Christian, right-wing, conservative, republican... I believe that Michael Savage is a nutcase.
Sometimes he makes good sense. But then, a stopped clock is right twice a day.

That's an insult to loons. You know, I almost added a disclaimer like that.
LOL!!!

"Face it, there are Christians who believe in peace and loving their neighbors, and there are Christians who fill trucks full of AMSOL and park them in front of federal buildings."
No, I will not face it. McVeigh WAS NOT A CHRISTIAN!!!

Muslims are the key component in the elimination of Islamists. We will get nowhere without them.

Savage is a loon. I listened yesterday in the car for about 15 minutes. At one point he was bashing saying that it was Bush's goal to take away our national sovereignty and later he was praising Bush as the only leader that had the will to protect our nation. Go figure.

Oh geez, is mention of the Koran now a mortal sin? There's nothing in the Koran of value, like teaching chastity, temperance, etc.? I guess we can all argue about the violent aspects of the Koran and how they've been twisted and distored by Islamofacists, but the Bible has a lot of violence in it too. And before you revile me, as a STRONG Christian I revere the Bible as being the word of God. I also despise Islamic animals who use the Koran to justify their bigotry and mass murder. But the fact is, there is violence committed in the Bible by God's people and at the behest of God, such as that committed against the heathen nations when the Israelites came into the Promised Land. I understand why it had to be so, but I guess a nut on the Christian side could take those passages out of context and use them to justify killing non-believers in our day too. Anyway, not to get too far afield here, there is nothing inherently evil about the Koran, much less mentioning it in a speech. Let's keep some perspective here folks instead of looking for something to attack the president over on a day we should all be celebrating the re-election of a truly great and courageous leader.
Some on the far right have become as petty and nit picking against Bush as some on the far left. Stop looking for absolute ideological purity, as YOU narrowly define it, from the man or anyone else. Most people operate on a more practical and realistic level than that. This is especially necessitated when you're the leader of the free world.

His brief moments of lucidity are getting fewer and fewer. I tuned out and wont be back. "for entertainment purposes only" should be the disclaimer, not for serious consideration. If he ever had it, he surely lost it last election day.

Bush also mentioned Sinai. Should some Christian minister give him an earful about how we are not a Jewish nation?

I'm no fan of Islam as my taglines have indicated for a loooong time but Bush is the President of a good many Muslims. Get over it.
(And Savage needs a tranquilizer.)
