''Spongebob'' Creator Defends Diversity Video Some Christian conservatives are angry about Spongebob Squarepants. The cartoon character joins peers such as Barney and Clifford ("The Big Red Dog") in a new video about tolerance.
Spongebob (left) appears in what the founder of the Christian conservative group "Focus on the Family" calls a "pro-homosexual video" aimed at school kids.
James Dobson says the cartoon sponge is potentially brainwashing kids by promoting tolerance for all sexual identities.
The video's creator says the remake of the Sister Sledge tune "We are Family" is meant to encourage racial harmony.
Spongebob and other popular characters promote diversity.
Creator Nile Rodgers says the video never mentions sexual identity.
"Squidward is the one who plays clarinet and has an art fetish."
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........................
That sure sounds gay............
The plot thickens.................
(the following statement is meant to be sarcastic)
What a horrible organization this Foundation is. Why just read their mission statement:
We Are Family Foundation celebrates our common humanity and the vision of a global family by creating and supporting programs that inspire and educate individuals of all ages about diversity, understanding, respect and multiculturalism; and to support those who are victims of intolerance.
The only mention of "sexual identity" is in the tolerance pledge. And then the entire statement is:
To help keep diversity a wellspring of strength and make America a better place for all, I pledge to have respect for people whose abilities, beliefs, culture, race, sexual identity or other characteristics are different from my own.
These are the types of threads that get us labelled as hicks and nuts.
When cartoon characters live in a place called "Bikini Bottom", it's a safe bet that the creators have a screw loose.
Look at the bright side: Sandy may be a little squirrely, but at least they all live in Bikini Bottom, not Speedo Bottom.
Why does it always have to be about sex? When I used to watch the Three Stooges and they all slept in the same bed, I never thought anything weird about it, nor did anyone ever imply it.
I've always wondered about Batman and Robin myself.
" Look at the bright side: Sandy may be a little squirrely, but at least they all live in Bikini Bottom, not Speedo Bottom. "
'"Not that there's anything wrong with that............"
The choice is up to you. Personally, I no longer believe in the good intentions of our public schools.
Benji, mormon nature pseudo-documentaries, John Denver, polyester, Grand Theft Auto . . . the pinnacle of human civilization!
Drifts of in his memories

Nevermind that.................
Who do you think was hotter?
Betty or Wilma?

Wonder Woman. Nice.
Drifts off in his memories
Hey . . . you kind of had to be there!
Spongebob is all man.
:) Betty, she had the more innocent look.
Actually from what I've heard, the old show's staff (Adam West Batman) used to have orgies and swinger events pretty regularly.
Betty was a party girl. Wilma was an uptight prude.
Good point,
On the other hand, Wilma was a red head (at least after we got a color TV)
and you know what they say about redheads................

Oh, BTW "LGBT" Stands for Lesbuan, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender.
No, there's no agenda here... (/sarcasm)
