Well, there was fanfare for President Clinton, I wonder if President Bush (41) is there along with Presidents Carter and Ford, will they get the same treatment?

It's protocol. They are all former presidents, and the military puts on this part of the inaugural. It's the office that is respected, not necessarily the man.

The master of ceremonies sounds like the austere PA announcer at Yankee Stadium, very dignified.
