Your professor is wrong. First most people do not need someone to hate. Second, blacks and US asians (east asia as opposed to pakistanis or asians in Britain (football in Britain is US soccer), do not hate each other. What you saw in the LA rights were black looters and US asian business men defending their stores.
Despite what you hear in the media and on FR, there is not much of a race problem in the US outside of the inner city ghettos which is a very small sub culture of the US.
The fact that you had to go all the way back to the rodney king riots to find a blaring example of your professor's view, proves my point.
In the US, most everyone gets along with each other pretty well except when discussing politics, which for most people is not a high priority subject. This is why most people don't vote. The last election was an exception.
Did you know that in the last election, the republicans made gains among blacks, hispanics, women, and asians while the democrats made gains among white men ? More and more, the racial and sexual divisions are diminishing.
IOW, you admit that allowing immigrants from Third World countries with alien cultures and religions is leading to violence in our societies, which really means a social breakdown. Why else would we have to "learn the great art of street fighting"? Is that your idea of a civil society - routine mass riots by people allegedly citizens of the same "nation"?
The problem is immigration. PERIOD.
...other recent news for awareness on Britain.

Britain Organization of Conference in London on the Subject of the Academic Boycott of Israel
The Palestinian Lobby at the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University is organizing a conference on "Opposition to Israeli Apartheid: Strategies and Principles" to include a call for the boycott of Israeli universities. The central speaker is to be Tom Paulin who was the object of severe criticism in the past after quoting in 2002 the Egyptian newspaper Al-Aharam saying "The Jewish settlers should be shot dead". Other speakers at the conference are to be Professors Hilary, Steven Rose and Mona Baker who began calling for the academic boycott of Israel over two years ago. At the conference the establishment of the British Committee for Universities in Palestine is to be announced. The Jewish Lobby contends that the conference is based on hatred and the de-legitimization of Israel and is devoid of any attempt to understand the essence of the conflict. Of note is the fact that the school itself published an announcement in which it disassociated itself from the conference claiming that it has no ties to its organization.
I wonder, what will happen if next time Harry goes to a fancy costume party he chooses a "conspicuous dress" of an ultra-Orthodox Jew... just to get even. Maybe it'll result in Mohammedans feel aggrieved and Jews hunting them in the streets of Stamford, iron bar in hand? :-)
On more serious note, I think that Musli are well aware of the traditional English anti-Semitism, and they know that no real official reprisals will follow any acts against the Jews in that country.
BINGO and BUMP!
Here is an example of New Zealand - the country where one can still walk the streets at night.
However, the idyll began to disappear since the socialist government of NZ led by the ugliest lezza in the world allowed a massive immigration of phoney refugees from Somalia and the Middle East.
Their Third World violent, feral, and sometimes plainly savage behaviour is officially acclaimed as "cultural diversity". As a result, parts of Wellington - once the most English city out of England - now fully deserve the name of Little Mogadishu.
I saw that movie about a year ago. As things went from bad to worse, I kept talking to the TV dad, "Where is your effing gun, you moron??"
Of course, then the movie would have been over about an hour sooner.
Typical KGB practice... they "disassociate" themselves from something they abetted.
