I happen to think the 68 looked pretty good. The 67 grille was too open, and made the car look a little cheap, and the 66 lights weren't raked, and made the car look heavy. My personal favorite is the 72-73. A friend of mine had a 68 deville, and it was sweet, and powerful in a way no modern caddy could ever be. 472 cubic inches of all-american V-8 will do that. Below is the 68 in limo form.

Woo Hoo! I was in a head on collision in my parent's 68 Sedan DeVille. An 86 Mustang was doing burnouts and lost control and spun into my lane. We hit head on at approx 25mph. I jumped out and had to yank the guys keys out of the car because he was trying to leave. I was ready to yank him out of the car when I looked at the Caddy and started busting up. The only damage was a piece of chrome trim that was cracked. His car was totaled.

I picked up a 12a rotary engine for my car and it fit perfectly in the cavernous truck with room to spare and went past the Mustang that was still there with the guy shaking his head. I was at where we have all the wrecking yards here and I wonder if he just dumped the car at the Ford lot on the same street heh heh. I didn't even bother to report a claim.

My brother sold the car still running reasonably well with over 250k miles on it for $1000 bucks in 1990!
