Here's hoping the Raven has an axe o grind with a certain Junior Senator from my home state four years from now.

And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.
Annabelle Lee! I love that poem!
A friend and I visited the Edgar Allan Poe gravesite and little house some years back. The guy who worked there (portraying Poe) is quite strange.

No, not at all.
It means: No one may attack me with impunity.
It's on the Montressor family crest as mention in "The cask of amontillado."
It's a great story and a must read for any Poe fan.

Very interesting, I'll have to make note of that. Not a bad philosophy to live by either. I'm not a Poe expert but I also loved "Cask". For some perverse reason I've always loved tales where there is some form of sweet revenge involved. Have you ever read the short story "Bargain"?

I just remember the story. I think I read it while in Jr. High. I have tried several Internet searches for it but can't find a thing! Of course typing in "Bargain" and anything else pretty well dilutes the search with sales information. I'll keep looking!
