One minor detail they seem to be overlooking is that this jet is so big that many major airports around the world are not equipped to handle something that large. It will cost millions in rennovations per airport to accomodate this jet. Bit of a drawback, I'd say.

how many bombs does that thing hold?
no military, no power.
Go back to your whine and cheese euro-trash wannabes.

MORE 'PEACE AND JUSTICE' COMING TO THE WORLD CUZ OF A GLOBALIZED PLANE - ping.
=====================================================
The plane, Zapatero said, "has turned this historic moment into a moment in which cooperation and globalisation are giving rise to more peace and justice."

FedEx is right there in the smack of it . . My guess is that FedEx will be one of the few to make a profit using the A380. (But I'm not an expert)

From the article:
"Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero said Europe was "unstoppable" when it pooled its efforts."
Good God. America put men on the moon over three decades ago. Europe still hasn't gotten around to it. All these losers do is make a big pregnant 747, and they think they're on top of the world. Pathetic.

How many orders? From the article,
"Thirteen airlines have already placed firm orders for 139 of the planes. Airbus calculates that by 2008 it will reach the break-even point of 250 A380s sold, and from that point it will turn out 35 of the aircraft per year to rising profits."
Reading is fundamental.
