Now in 2005, 23 years later with the influx of illegals in the construction trades the wage is $12 to $15 an hour.

And you live your life based on what the government calls the 'prevailing wage'? PW is a completely socialistic creation. Have you considered other causes of wage stagation for such a wage? Modular homes? SIPs? Concrete homes? Package homes from the lumber yard? Owner/Builders? Framers and carpenters are becoming exstinct, and its not because of Pedro from Mexico.

The house that are being built in my town are not prebuild anything. They are 2000+ square foot custom homes. I pass by the subdivisions every day. And I have seen the wages lowered by illegals, that is why they are let in.

Phooey, there are a good 50,000 houses going up in every direction all around me--all wood framed. And nearly all by Mexican labor. You can bet a large chunk of which is illegal.
