To you one-world globalists, the market comes before the nation.

So...are you a two-world globalist?

Exactly, there's some legal resident that's willing to do it.

I don't believe for a moment that nobody can be found there to work for $25 an hour.

I have another confession to make: When I was younger, I dated a girl who was a year younger than myself leading to my committng statory rape on countless occasions. Statutory rape is a felony.

I'm sure she'll find her way to the nearest ER and then leave the taxpayers with a huge bill soon. Yay.

I am an American patriot, not some one world globalist who sees himself as some kind of aristocrat floating above a world of cheap labor.

How about ending welfare and smacking the employers with some hefty fines?

Caddies at my golf club get $120 for two bags over a four hour round and we also had a shortage of caddies until the the Mexicans started showning up. As a bonus, they are among the best caddies because they don't talk much.

Wow, lot's of exposure there.

I'd bet you the cost of the ad that if you actually placed one you'd receive numerous inquiries from US citizens and or legal residents. And I'm talking about a legitimate ad in the help wanted section.

And you'd have to stipulate (must be legal resident) in the ad.

Why would I need to go to the expense of placing an ad when the supermarket worked just fine. If citizens were dying to work as my maid, there was nothing stopping them from answering. The supermarket where I placed the ad wasn't exactly in a Spanish-speaking neighborhood. Mexicans hustle, because they have to. I interviewed 3 women. All were Mexican.

Dear presidio9,

"That's been my point all along: Get rid of welfare, and the problem will largely take care of itself."

Well, with welfare reform welfare has been decreased by 60%.

But your claim is a non sequitur. If by "getting rid of welfare" you mean not reforming and reducing it, but throwing every single person off it (about 2 million households are on welfare), you would not add enough adult workers to the labor force to replace all the illegal aliens who are working in the US.

There are several times more illegal workers than adults on welfare.

However, throwing everyone off welfare WOULD reduce the cost of menial labor by a modest amount, as the number of low wage workers would increase by about 20% or so.

Bottom line - illegal workers reduce the costs of housecleaning, lawn mowing, etc. for well-off folks, at the expense of other low wage workers.

Imagine that. You have the opportunity to hire a US citizen and yet you don't want to go to the trouble of placing a $12.00 ad to do so.

Telling.

Getting rid of welfare would lower wages to the point that some Mexicans would not feel sufficiently compensated to leave their homeland and loved ones.
