Paul Sperry was the reporter who got into the shouting match with Clinton during the whitehouse picnic one year. He asked Clinton something about the China connection and Bill started bad mouthing the FBI. It was quite humorous. Sperry is one the best investigative reporters out there.

Once, while working in a previous supervisory role at the Clinton White House, she reportedly warned computer workers to keep quiet about an embarrassing server glitch that led to the loss of thousands of archived e-mails covered by federal subpoena.

"Dr." Callahan, during her Independent Counsel deposition:
"You're asking me for the subpoenaed files? Well I, ummm... I don't have them. They're, uhh, umm... they're missing. It was a, umm... a server glitch! Yeah, that's it! That's why all those subpoenaed files were deleted. Huh? What's a server glitch? Well, it's a, ummm... well, it's a technical term, ya' know. Yeah, that's it! It's difficult to explain to people who don't have a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems. Of course, I have a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems, so just take my word for it: the files are gone. What do you mean you want me to describe the server glitch? Well, it's a, ummm... it's quite a common problem with servers ya' know. It's a, ummm... when a server automatically deletes all the files marked for subpoena. Yeah, that's it! Ya' know, if you had a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems, you wouldn't be asking me all these stupid questions."

Did we send her a bill for that salary she took while being investigated?

Why is it the gov does not sue to get back the money they paid as her salary during that time?

I suspect that this is much more prevalent in other government agencies where additional pay for additional qualifications is quite prevalent.
I also question some of the individually-tailored degree programs offered by many schools which allow constructive credit for life experiences.

The Houston Independent School District has a similar problem with many of their administrators. When this started to come out several years ago they solved the problem by denying access to employee qualifications. Of course the HISD doesn't have any oversight committee to worry about.

Since the fraudulent degrees are often used to get more money out of government agencies their use should be prosecuted. Doesn't happen often since the first thought of most in government employ it to cover up any misdeeds.

A company I worked for several years ago hired a man with multiple BS, MS and Phd degrees. When he showed up and hung them on the wall I noticed that they all were from the same "college" and all signed with the same three names. The interesting thing was that the signatures showed that the positions these people held changed back and forth on different documents. They didn't seem to know what position they held from time to time. Didn't take long to check out the diploma mill. This guy was under suspicion from the start and it didn't take long to get rid of him. He had worked other places using these same documents and didn't get fired.

Callahan’s management style had always been heavy-handed. Once, while working in a previous supervisory role at the Clinton White House, she reportedly warned computer workers to keep quiet about an embarrassing server glitch that led to the loss of thousands of archived e-mails covered by federal subpoena.

Why was the Clintonoid POS ever given a job at Homeland Security? Is someone powerful protecting her? Is her sugar daddy?

Could this mean that Doctor Nick's diploma from the Hollywood Upstairs School of Medicine isn't valid? If so someone should call Homer Simpson.

A phony Phd, as opposed to a real one awarded by let's say Berkely? Some of the highest academic degrees are held by some of the worst people. Other than a medical degree, engineering, chemistry or other basicly unchanging "hard science" with real consequences, I don't value any of them any more than I would "Joe's University, PO box 21a, DelRio Texas". I know too many real idiots with advanced degrees in sociology, phylosophy, and other "idea" subjects. How about the fellows that have reinterpretted the simple language of the United States Constitution?

Doesn't surprise me in the least.

This is your government. This is your government run by bureaucrats.

I have an MBA (from a university that is now fully accredited, but was provisionally accredited at the time I attended) and am teaching managerial economics to MBA students. I would prefer teaching I.T. courses, after 31 years at IBM as a hardware and software service tech and a systems engineer, plus 8 years I.T. consulting and a client list that many would envy. However, my ACADEMIC I.T. credentials consist of a Master's in Telecommunication and Information Systems Management, and that is not enough to qualify where I teach.

Anyone completing a real PhD must have some serious scholarly published research. It should have been relatively easy to verify that "Dr. Luara" had no record of such published research with little more than a literature search at a local library.

Great Post! Now, it would be just as informative to know the truth of how the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. obtained his "doctorate." See the recent article "MLK Day, 2005" by Nicholas Stix.

Only thing to say is to compare this with my tagline,

"The idea around which liberalism coheres
is that NOTHING actually matters but PR."

I guess it doesn't matter if you know Jack about IT, what matters is that you have a sheepskin on the wall - and the gall to bluff your way through life.
