I wonder if Lugar left part of his anatomy at home this morning..He allowed Boxer too much leeway.

They are in a Glass Jar placed on the top Shelf in Hillary Clinton's senate office.

Did he? Or did he just allow Boxer more rope with which to hang herself, and Condi more space in which to shine?

I'm no fan of Lugar's but, from what I read here, this was a public self-immolation on fBoxer's part.

I don't think Lugar ever had that part of his anatomy.

Boxer lamented the loss of American military life in Iraq. How ironic since the left's (which she is a part) anti-war position encouraged the enemy to fight and add to the total dead and wounded. If the UN would have been anything other than a corrupt organization and would have held Saddam to account there would have been options short of war. Options short of war were eliminated when the sanctions were ineffective and the oil-for-palace/weaponary program implemented.

Didn't one of the Democrat Senators today hold up a book called the United States of Europe?

This is an article about that book for anyone interested.

I'm on a break, so I thought I'd check in. I was worried about Boxer, but I shouldn't have been. Condi simply wasted her, apparently. Watching the replay should be an absolute treat.

Legislation has been introduced in the House and in the Senate called the Syrian Accountability Act, introduced by Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Rick Santorum (R-PA) as S. 2215 and in the House by Representatives Dick Armey (R-TX) and Eliot Engel (D-NY), H.R. 4483. This legislation would impose sanctions on Syria until the President certifies that Syria has ceased its support for terrorist groups, has withdrawn its forces from Lebanon, halted its development of missiles and biological and chemical weapons, and is in compliance with the UN resolutions concerning Iraq. The proposed legislation would have the following sanctions imposed:

It was, but I believe he allowed her to go overtime and the tone of her diatribe deserved no extra "comity".

This is tragic; the Democrats have absolutely NO shame.

Your statement is more true than you know, Howlin.

Though I'm sure it will not be reflected in the liberal classrooms' textbooks, I think that a (if not THE) pivotal moment in the history of our nation, post Civil War, was the 2000 Election...primarily, its aftermath.

My girlfriend recently asked me when I got so involved with politics, and when it seemed to consume my life so much. I told her the truth--when SoreLoserman started ranting and raving about "every vote counting", and then only counting in Dim counties, the rage and the interest grew. It was at that point that my eyes were opened.

September 11, and its aftermath, sealed it for me. I needed to know why this happened, and I needed to know that justice would be done...that we would hunt down these bastards that did this to my country, to my people, and only one side of the aisle (with very few exceptions, like Zell Miller and...yes...Lieberman) was taking care of it...led by a President with stones, George W. Bush.

Now, I'm hooked. And Free Republic gives me the opportunity to talk about it, and to interact with like-minded people (and even a few trolls before they're ZOTted). To me, ignorance in the area of history is ricin to the soul. I want to learn, I need to learn; I do it here.

Informal poll: for those of you who are really hooked here at FR, what was the pivotal moment for you? (if there was one)

Well, if we're talking what Boxer "deserves," that's a whole 'nothing thing.

Yeah, me too! When Gore tried to steal an election in broad daylight I finally saw them for what they were: power mad for the sake of power! Add to that 9/11 and their behavior in its aftermath and I swear I will never vote for any Dem again, not even for dog catcher!

COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN RELATIONS
UNITED STATES SENATE

Looking at all the names of the committee members it seems to me that this isn't a dream team but more of a "rogues gallery".
Is that the best this nation can do for one of the most important committees in the senate?

FNC reporting that attendance at Clinton's library is much lower than Reagan and Bush's libraries when they opened. Hah!

Not surprising, really...how many folks visit Arkansas on a yearly basis, and how many can be expected just to see Clinton's library? And how often? It's the last place in the world I'd want to visit...yet alone just to visit Clinton's library...it'll probably end up needing government subsidies to remain open.
