It isn't just socialism. It's out and out Communism:

The Church recognizes that all the goods of the earth belong to all people

Ordinary Marxism. The original justification for land confiscation, nationalization of industry, and state ownership.

"They get sanctioned by God to do this."

I wonder what God that might be?

I don't know a single Conservative who supports George Bush on his refusal to enforce our immigration laws and secure our border. Allowing this never-ending flood of illegals shows neither Christianity nor compassion. Praying before committing a crime does not sanction the crime.

The sad part is that if we continue to allow this flood of immigration, this nation will become what they are trying to escape.

Thanks; there's been quite a surge (scourge?) of these lately. This one, "Jobs that Americans won't do' filled by desperate migrants", reads like one of those "Feed the Children" commercials.

"She'll be back at a job few want except someone like Dominguez, 35, a Mexican immigrant illegally living in the U.S., who is thankful for the work that has allowed her to send money home to her six children in Mexico. Won't you do your part? For just $2.00 a day..."

You miss the point. In some locations, praying itself is a crime, but we are obligated to adhere to God's Law above any merely human law. Everything which Hitler ever did was all perfectly legal. Yet at the Nuremburg trials the Allies correctly argued that following lawful orders is not an excuse, that one must always follow one's conscience above any law.

Do you know an artist? This is similar to one that I envisioned. The one I thought of would show the Statue of Liberty with illegals tunneling under her and GW and his cohorts handing out the picks and shovels. The tunnel would be almost to the point of toppling the statue.

Kind of a shame they've got to leave their own Catholic country to have any chance at all in life.

But when the Pope came to Mexico he did tell Vicente Fox that Mexico's indigenous people belong to Mexico and Mexico belongs to it's indigenous people. For a Catholic country though --- there is no justice in Mexico --- and Fox wants to rid his country of it's mestisos and Indians. He does not intend to reform Mexico so they could stay.

II. Persons have the right to migrate to support themselves and their families. 35. The Church recognizes that all the goods of the earth belong to all people. When persons cannot find employment in their country of origin to support themselves and their families, they have a right to find work elsewhere in order to survive. Sovereign nations should provide ways to accommodate this right.

Without property rights there would be no better opportunities for people to got to.

III. Sovereign nations have the right to control their borders. 36. The Church recognizes the right of sovereign nations to control their territories but rejects such control when it is exerted merely for the purpose of acquiring additional wealth. More powerful economic nations, which have the ability to protect and feed their residents, have a stronger obligation to accommodate migration flows.

Wealth is generated by investment and innovation, and is protected by property rights, it isn't acquired (unless you're a communist leader).

Churches should stick to what they know best, which apparently isn't economics.
