So what?

Don't sell to Wal-Mart if you can't handle their good negotiating skills.

In the meantime, I will continue shopping there to get the best deal on some things, and will shop elsewhere to get the best deal on other things (movies etc...Wal-Mart is too expensive, though better than the super rip-off joint called Hastings Books and Music.......talk about a HUGE markup there...the bastards try to milk it for all they can).

Sam's Club seems to have higher quality, particularly clothes. The Member's Mark Jeans are a rugged and good quality as Carhart. Good if you are rough on clothes.

I have also heard of people buying the cheap Levi's from Wal- Mart and exchanging them at Nordstroms and Penny's for better quality.

Exactly. Those companies entered into agreements with Walmart and as a matter of fact some of those companies had special Wal-Mart sales teams. If they made a poor deal with Wal-Mart, well thats their fault not Wal-Marts. Why did Vlasic agree to $2.97 for a gallon of picks anyway? With all the over paid MBAs running around
you would think that one one them would have foreseen
the problems with that. Anyone that runs their own business
could see what was coming when you sell at cost.
