Thank you, I really appreciate that being of Scot Heritage! For some reason, my 'puter loses communication to printer, and I try and try, but nothing works short of a new printer and a new loading disc. I'm using a Dell Pent 4, six months old.

Wait a second. That sounds bad. What you need to do is take one of the "busted" printers and try hooking it up to a second machine to see if it works. It may not be the printer's fault. You may have a virus lodged in your printer software.
