Here's a happening - to tell everyone! Edd Hendee, a successful businessman, who is also a successful conservative talk show personality in Houston, Texas, is old enough to know better - but he's going to Iraq to see the troops and give the "other" viewpoint of what's happening - first hand. Everyone can hear streaming sound over their PC by accessing web site http://www.ksevradio.com/ weekday mornings at 6AM CST. We need to tell friends and neighbors and all of the news outlets about this man who is taking his personal valuable time out to put himself in harm's way to see and report what's gong on during this tough time where a new country is going to have an election for the first time. He leaves tomorrow. Great way to start the day - after your big glass of sauerkraut juice.

I admire his goal...I think. OTOH, if he's just out to
get something new to spout on his radio show, or to
start a political career soon, he could be doing NOONE
a big favor! WHY does he choose this time when our soldiers have enough to do protecting their
own butts and the Iraqi people? NOW they have to
delegate how many soldiers to escort this man around
the country so he can see first hand what's going on?
Not good timing IMO.

Edd's a good man. I listen to him every morning. He does a lot in Houston for our military and has taken a particular interest in one our wounded Marines named Casey. Even been to Walter Reed to visit him and other troops. He has a very successful steak house, Taste of Texas, on the Katy Freeway (I-10) in the Spring Branch area of Houston.
He has his heart in the right place.

Yes, you're right about his involvement with Marine Cpl. Casey Owens. They have a pic of him on the pic page on the Casey Owens site that his sister gives updates on his progress. He accompanied Casey and his mother to the Capitol for the swearing in of Congress. http://www3.caringbridge.org/tx/caseyowens/

Check the picture page on http://www3.caringbridge.org/tx/caseyowens/
I believe he and his wife are Marine Cpl. Casey's godparents. Read the journal history that his sister writes. She mentioned he was going to Iraq to give the REAL story of what's going on.
