I hope that we are at least keeping taps on the mullahs. I do really hope Bush takes a look at the predicted price tag of his actions if we attack. IMO, occupation should not even be considered. Money would best be spent on building up Afghanistan and Iraq. I'd prefer it if we just paid the locals to take out the bad guys in Syria or Iran.

I really cannot conceive of invasion or occupation. Remember Reagan and Khadafi? Khadafi refused to heed warnings and just got h@## bombed out of his palace. The Israelis took out Saddam's nearly competed nuclear facilities twenty-something years ago. Even Clinton used the bombing facilities of hostile areas without UN permission or warning. If Iran keeps messing around, surely all that would be considered would be a strategic bomb run or two or three.

As per some other posts, I, too, am past ready to see some retribution for peope giving out security info.

I agree. That is a far more palatable option than throwing the war hammer around in the middle east and inflaming Arab opinion against us even more. Are we really safer when we commit ourselves to actions that enhance terrorist recruitment against us?
