The main problem with Harry wearing that uniform is the fact wearing it shows how little he understands the concept of evilness of the Nazi party and all it stands for.

Imagine for a moment you are wearing a SS uniform to a party with he full knowledge of what it represents and what insidious evil was perpetuated by the Nazi's.

I personally could not wear such a uniform.

The third in line to the English throne should have know better. Anybody should know better.

Take it to next logical step. Would you go to a party as Jeffery Dahmer, the child cannibal pedophile?

If not. Why not? It would be funny as all get out.

All his victims would be laughing their heads off, if they were still attached. :)

I second that.

Nothing more intimating then a buccaneer "winking" at you across the line of scrimmage. It drove fear into the opposing teams for about five seconds or until they stopped laughing

"Do the British people pay for your lavish upkeep?"

The British people do not pay for Harry's upkeep. As the son the Prince of Wales who is also the Duke of Cornwall, Harry is supported by the Duchy of Cornwall a self supporting entity.

it's a COSTUME party, a time to have fun - wearing a nazi uniform as a costume does not mean you admire, support, or in any way believe in the nazi ideals.

i mean, c'mon, if you want to talk about evil, i can get all historical too and say "but what about people who wear dracula costumes?!" -- yes, i don't think the victims of vlad the impaler would be too happy either.

and i'd still wear a osama costume :)

LOL, and I thought Johnny Depp was gay in "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Didn't we fight a revolution so we wouldn't have to hear this stuff?

Nit picky! LOL

Okay...and the people of Wales paid for his years as a child, through his father's subsidies, but both Cornwall and Wales are part of Britain. My query was in regard to another poster, who doest understand why she isn't in the same category as this princeling.

You seem to be genuinely interested in the British Royals so I'll try to explain a bit more about Prince Charles's finances. The Duchy of Cornwall comprises a lot of property - not all of it in Cornwall - but mostly farms and rural area. It is extremely well run, provides homes and jobs for a great number of people and makes a profit!

Produce from the Duchy's farms are used at all the royal residences and Prince Charles himself is very sensitive to ecology.

No public money supports the Prince of Wales or any of his family.

Just trying to set the record straight.

FRegards,

Oh come on...what about the Royal List? Are you trying to tell me that the Royals, besides having other monies, aren't "paid" by English tax payers? Since when?

The Prince of Wales does not benefit from the Civil (Royal) List. Nor does his family. His income is solely derived from the Duchy of Cornwall.

In recent years the number of royals on the civil list has shrunk dramatically. The minor royals are on their own!!

You're now contradicting yourself. In your post #48,you claimed that Prince Charles got NOTHING but veggies, from Cornwall ( why would the PRINCE OF WALES get monies from Cornwall? ) and now you claim he does. Earlier, you said that Prince Harry was supported by money from Cornwall, because he's the DUKE OF CORNWALL.

It can't be both of what you say......"gets nothing,is supported by" at the same time. I may be watching a fascinating, though terribly biased show, but I'm paying much more attention to this thread now, than I was when I made the wee slip, earlier, that you corrected. :-)

Let me try again.

Nowhere in #48 did I say that the POW got nothing but veggies from the Duchy of Cornwall.

Revenues from the Duchy are not public money.

Prince Charles is Duke of Cornwall, not Prince Harry.

The Prince of Wales has several titles, including Baron Rothsey; Lord of the Isles.

Sorry - that's just the way it is.

QED

This 'backtracking' thing is silly. Please state chapter and verse. I'll read them - if you can find any - after Thursday.

Bye!
