i was watching The Unforgiven the other night. eastwood's major theme (in that movie, as well as in high plains drifter, dirty harry, hang em high, and several others) is (righteous) RETRIBUTION. he may not pass the conservative litmus test on several issues, but retribution will generally keep him away from the dems.
rent "Unforgiven", and watch the gunfight at the end when he kills deputy "fatty", along with several others.
fatty isn't much different from michael moore.
