Me: No for the Steelers. Yes for the Falcons.
Steelers 20, Jets 17. Steelers did not cover.
Falcons 47, Rams 17. Falcons covered big time. Two for two ain't bad.
Now for today's games. Philly is giving 8 to the Vikes. Philadelphia will cover. The Vikings secondary is sub-par and very exploitable for McNabb, even without Owens.
The Patriots are 1.5 point favorites. Give it to the Pats. Outdoor conditions will slow down the Colts high-powered offense. The Patriots running game will also keep Manning on the sidelines. In this post I predicted a Pats victory by the score of 23-17.
Let the games begin!
Philly giving 8 - that's a tough one. Both teams are flawed. Guess it will come down to turnovers and mistakes, which should keep it close. -> take the points
Pats giving only 1.5 to Colts!? - the defending SB champs, at home in frigid winter weather, against a team many (even here) consider "soft". Sounds like a lot of money has made it to the Colts side. Wonder if it's smart money? Ball control is more important in bad weather, and Pats will feel the pressure of pre-game hype to lose outright. -> take the points
Tony's had the team practicing all week in this weather. They are ready!!!
I pick tha Colts by 14
Congratulations on nailing them both yesterday.
I took the other side of both games. After watching Philly play the AFC North teams I am just not impressed at all. Not that the Vikings are a prize, they aren't but the line seemed big to me especially when the favorite has had a month off.
Indy is a strange play. Typically I would like the hometeam with the history of winning but the Pats are so injured that Erthwyn(sp?) Meyer will be playing nickel back for the Pats. Meyer has spent the last two years on the Cleveland Browns practice squad.
The public seems to agree with me as the line is now Indy as a one point favorite. I got in at a pick 'em.
