Me too. But it's understandable, it's a very poorly written article, and there's enough Deans involved to choke a horse.
Or throw an election, whatever...
BTT!!!!!
Absolutely not! You should continue finding instances of fraud, but do your own investigation...DO NOT TRUST BEV HARRIS!!
In 1990, Dean was convicted of first-degree theft in King County for 23 counts of embezzlement of more than $385,000 from a law firm, where he was a computer systems and accountant consultant, according to Superior Court records. Deans thefts at the law firm, the records state, occurred over a 2 1/2 -year period of time . . . The crimes and their cover-up involved a high degree of sophistication and planning in the use and alteration of records in the computerized accounting system that defendant maintained for the victim. . . . This fact--stated not by Harris, but by George Howland--appears to have been acknowledged by everyone involved, including Dean himself.
You started out by saying, "Please do not fall for the latest Bev Harris scam!"
But the facts are clear, quite independently of who Bev Harris is.
"In 1990, Dean was convicted of first-degree theft in King County for 23 counts of embezzlement of more than $385,000..."
"Dean served just under four years for his crime and was released in 1995."
I have no idea what the normal sentence is for embezzlement, but thinking about this a bit more, it seems like just under 4 years isn't very much for 23 counts of embezzlement (of course, that could have just been due to the fact that he probable had a liberal KC/Seattle judge). I do find it curious that he's been involved with something to do w KC ballots since he was released.
I'm not questioning whether Dean is a felon or not. That seems to be a matter of public record. Just trying to warn FReepers not to get involved with Bev Harris and blackboxvoting.com.
Absolutely
Bev Harris lives in RENTON? Figures...
