I believe that pornography and abortion degrade everyone involved and is the effluent of a free society. It should be legislated by congress, not by activist judges. Only a few of the far left "Christian" churches ordain homosexual pastors and it is incompatible with Christianity. Homosexual marriage is tenuously legal in VERY few jurisdictions and will soon fall.
I have friends that have been and are in Iraq and Afghanistan. Despite supposed prohibitions against homosexuality it is quite common among Muslims, especially powerful men with younger boys.
We have problems with muslim pornography, those beheading and slaughter videos available to the little jihadis all over islam.
We have problems with a religion that views women as posessions and where slavery is still legal.
We have a problem with a religion that teaches its children to bomb innocent civilians (muslim and non-muslim) while commiting suicide.
We have a problem with a religion that preaches that it is muslim duty to acquire nuclear weapons and destroy Israel and America.
One of the resentments of the West against muslims is that they fly planes into our buildings.
It's time for the west to stop worrying about how the muslim world views us, as flawed as we are, and the muslim world start worrying about how we view them.

The September 11 attack was condemned by all Muslim nations except Iraq. Even Khadaffy and the late Arafat expressed shock upon hearing the tragedy that struck the Americans and condemned the terrorist.

Have you heard the speeches of President Bush about Islam? In all his speeches about Islam, he praised the Islamic religion but condemned the terrorist.

I am not trying to persuade any body of the righteousness and tolerance of Islam. What I am trying to point out is that Islam as a religion is little understood in the West.

If Islam were such a hopeless religion as some people think it is, why are the Americans trying to desperately establish democracy in Iraq? Because the things that you say Muslims are is true only for a minority of them. The majority of Muslims are upright people.

I have been expressing the belief in all my posts that Congress should take over the task of legislating pornography, homosexual marriage, abortion, prayer in public places, etc and not leave that matter to the activists judges in their courts. Surprisingly, a lot of people agree with my views and I have a lot to thank you for coming into a common agreement about fundamental principles.
