I would submit that they are HAVING their Reformation, only it's away from conciliation and cooperation with the West and toward bloody insurrection whereever they are.
You may be right, if you are considering only history from the early 19th Century. They had been on their marauding march of blood for over 12 centuries at that point. They seem to have gone into a stagnation for a while when the European Colonialists were on the move and they lost the Battle of Vienna and went into retreat. Now they are back.
As far as I can see in most history, Muslims have always been big trouble wherever they went. It was always divide, convert, murder, conquer and not necessarily in that order. After all, our first foreign war was against the Barbary Pirates and we weren't looking for a fight against anybody in those days.
If we could count the butchery throughout history of this murderous cult, it would probably approach "Communist" numbers. The subcontinent of India alone could add into the many millions.
I think they are just "reforming" to their accustomed habits.
