Yes, this family are martyrs in the same sense as the Christians in the lion's dens of Rome.

I hear on FOX that members of the Coptic Christian community are looking for payback. It looks like vigilante justice may be making a comeback.

According to one Evangelical group (Voice of the Martyrs) there have been more people martyred for their Christian faith in the last 10 years than since St. Stephen(first Martyr).

I think the young daughter with the Coptic Cross tatooed on her wrist who had the worse mutilation fits that verse. She and her family were persecuted for speaking the truth about Christ and were martyred for it.

Well, the Soviet Union killed over 80+ million Orthodox Christians and other Christians in about 40 years in its own lands and those taken after WWII. They killed them soley based on religion. I think that is way more than those killed in the past 10 years.

Sad but true. The Soviet Union it is said, killed more Christins than had been killed since Saint Stephan.

I would submit that they are HAVING their Reformation, only it's away from conciliation and cooperation with the West and toward bloody insurrection whereever they are.

You may be right, if you are considering only history from the early 19th Century. They had been on their marauding march of blood for over 12 centuries at that point. They seem to have gone into a stagnation for a while when the European Colonialists were on the move and they lost the Battle of Vienna and went into retreat. Now they are back.

As far as I can see in most history, Muslims have always been big trouble wherever they went. It was always divide, convert, murder, conquer and not necessarily in that order. After all, our first foreign war was against the Barbary Pirates and we weren't looking for a fight against anybody in those days.

If we could count the butchery throughout history of this murderous cult, it would probably approach "Communist" numbers. The subcontinent of India alone could add into the many millions.

I think they are just "reforming" to their accustomed habits.
