Stretch here... The Old Geezer.
thanks for posting this. I feel the same way, and it was good to read it this early in the morning. As I opened Free Replublic, this was first... I was thinking before I opened this that I would like to come up with some great story of my own to commerate the bloggers who try to keep our heritage alive and before the public.... and I thought also, that it looks like a loosing battle.... the libs are so massive and powerful, not only in this country, but worldwide. They are hurting this nation, many of them without even realizing it. I am sure a lot of real dems are following the party line without knowing that their party has left them, as Zell Miller has said.
I blame the hard core liberals on the clintons and their followers.... from way back in the 60's through this day. they have been instrumental in pushing and forming this party from their college days, and before... The entire clinton "regime" defend dictators, the UN, and a host of international organizations that really hate America and are secretely (and even not so secretely) to make this a socialist country. Holbrook, Albright, Carter, Begala, Gore, Immanual, Poloci, Feinstein,... and of course "the Kennedys" and especialy the ACLU and other such organizations... and so many others.
What a fight poor Bush has to just keep his head above the water..
It is leading to anarchy... We have made inroads, but these roads are filled with land mines.... At every turn we are blasted. And our party is not totally dedicated to destroying the liberal movement and that is a shame, for it may be the straw that broke the camels back.
Anyway, Freepers, we must keep on, and on and on.
Anyway, folks, have a good day. Stretch in Cumming, Georgia.... formerly Apple Valley, Ca. Got out of that liberal state before I went crazy.
When The Dan entered stage left, comedic relief in Act III of what promises to be a lenghty tragedy, and held up the muddy evidence dug up and displayed to the world, I was reminded of Justice Thomas' dissenting opinion on BCFR:
What is to stop a future Congress from determining that the press is too influential, and that the appearance of corruption is significant when media organizations endorse candidates or run slanted or biased news stories in favor of candidates or parties? The press now operates at the whim of Congress.
And I recalled the demands the imperial wing of the Senate fired off to the FCC demanding that the NRA's attempt to speak freely to the American public be stifled, telling me that those senators destructive to liberty have become fortified and emboldened.
It seemed to me that The Dan knew full well that CBS would get away with what it has gotten away with, a fraud perpetrated on we the people. Congress will conduct another update of Dante's Inferno, and CBS will tout the promised restrictions as "much-needed" and 'as welcome as a west Texas rain'.
I would be interested to know if the post has ever made the same argument for the second being second for a reason....an armed citizenry is the ultimate guarantor of all rights.
Sorry Dan, no more fascist media where only one view is allowed and all others ruthlessly suppressed.
