Ping
Thanks!
I was just thinking about this last night. Switched to FireFox two months ago, and LOVE IT!!!
I love the forcast fox extension! Also installed the FoxyTunes extension as well.
Thanks!

Bump for later.
Check to make sure the Plug-in is compatible with your version of Firefox.
Don't try to install a whole bunch at once.
Reboot between installations
When you are on another site other than mozilla.org, like many of the home web sites for extensions, and you click "Install" for an extension, a bar may pop up just below your toolbar. It will probably say To protect your computer, Firefox prevented this site (site name.com) from installing software on your computer., with a button named Edit Options ... in the far right corner of the same bar. Click the "Edit Options ..." button and a small box named "Allowed Sites" will pop up. It will have the name of the web site highlighted under "Address of web site:", with a button named Allow below and to the right side. Click the "Allow" button, then the "OK" button at the bottom. This adds that web site to your list of "Allowed Sites" from which Firefox will download software. Then, you can click "Install" for any of the extensions listed on that particular site.
Great info!
Found alot of stuff I was missing from IE to use in Firefox.
If there is a "Firefox" ping list...can you add me please?
Thanks
Lets you right-click anywhere on an open Web page and choose Create deskCut from the pop-up menu to place a Firefox bookmark on your desktop
Excellent. I'll have to try this. I've been using FF for several months now and still haven't figured out how to save a bookmark to my desktop. Does anyone know how to do this without downloading an extension?
Thanks for the info.
One more ping for FF users before I leave. Great thread!
I might check out a few of the others listed.
i need HELP!! i would like to customize
my firefox browser so that when i'm searching
for something i can actually type something
into a search field without the hassle of
previously-used search words/phrases popping
up... not allowing me to type in what i'm
looking for! after messing around with it
over-and-over-and-over again i'll finally
get it to where i can type... but i don't
want that to happen anymore!
is there somewhere in "config" where i can
change that??
i might not return to this forum for a
while, and it would much easier for me
to have a reply sent to my junk e-mail
(i will check it) katatoe@hotmail.com
please respond ASAP. i really appreciate
it!!
thank you so much oh mighty computer
geniuses of america!
sincerely,
kt
If you only knew how little I know about computers ....
I'll email this after posting.
Go to your toolbar at the top.
Between Bookmarks and Help, see Tools and click there.
In Tools, see Options and click there.
In Options, look on the left side and see Privacy and click there.
In Privacy, see "Saved Form Information" and click there to show "Save Information I enter in web forms and the Search Bar". Remove the check mark from there.
Click "OK" at the bottom.
If that doesn't work ... well, let me know.
Reference bump.
Bump for later review. Thanks for the information.
Yes.
Got a second to try this?
1) Look In the URL Just before the http:// there is a little icon (here in FR it's a red white and blue star, at other web sites it may change).
2) Hover your mouse over that little icon.
3) Click and drag that little icon onto your desktop.
NOTE: The same thing goes for links, any link, on a web page, can be dragged and dropped onto your desktop to make a shortcut.
