There was a scientist on some talk show on Fox- perhaps Neil Cavuto's show, anyway, this guy has a book out explaining how the envirowhacks and others talk BS about global warming etc, and they mentioned Crichton's book. The interviewer commented Crichton's book agreed with his (science)book, and he said "that's because he did his research".

RE: STate of Fear
I learned a lot about the wackos and how their "facts" are NOT facts. I think I'm going to try to find some objective books about global warming and the environmental issues; the book got me really interested.

I don't remember it ever being in the theaters; I don't know how long ago it came out. If you like that type movie, it's really fun to watch.

I haven't seen a movie in the theaters in a few years...
I love history and geeky stuff like that, so I like that sort of movie.

Brit Hume interviewed Patrick Michaels on Wednesday or Thursday. He is the author of the new book 'Meltdown...' and he is in the references in the Crichton book. My library doesn't have it yet, but I am on hold.

I'm speaking live with a soldier in Iraq right now--messages you want passed along?
To: visualops
That's the interview I saw--it was good old Brit Hume. The full title is, 'Meltdown, the predictable distortion of global warming'

A big "THANKS" to the soldier and also send along our prayers to the Man upstairs in their behalf.

Ah Ok thank you!
I only hear Fox on satellite radio, so not seeing a face sometimes later I forget whose show it was.

predictable distortion
Yes he said that several times- the assorted nutjobs do predictably distort stuff, and not just the environmental junk.
