No, think of how much damage those pictures did. The punishment is totally justified.

The people in abu ghraib technically weren't terroristsI believe they most certainly were.

And what happens to whoever was supposed to be "in charge" at the prison? How were the underlings able to pull off this elaborate "prank?"
I say Graner, however much he is responsible for his own actions, is still the fall guy.

Probably because Saddam is still jailed awaiting trial, due to a lot of pause cuz of the powers that be. Once he's had his trial in a speedy fashionable way like Sgt. Graner did, we can look forward to the same result.
Holding Saddam in a cell is not going to speed up the trial process, sorry to say.

I concur. He has caused more harm to the other military members in Iraq/Afghanistan because of his actions.

He should spend his time behind bars with the Leash Gal... maybe they can practice their photo ops for a while. Umm, he's married to the leash gal. She just had their baby.

Holy smokes! I hadn't heard that detail. The two were made for each other, it seems.

Not according to Maj Gen Taguba's official report. Most of the prisoners in Abu Ghraib were common criminals in prison for ordinary crimes like theft, rape, and mugging.

10 years? Should have received 1 year max for what he actually did. But his major crime was embarrassing the U.S. military and he blew it big time. He's lucky he just got 10 years based on the PR damage and we all know he had to go down because our Prez and everyone else in the govt don't have the guts to stand up to the media BS.
To: FreedomCalls
The poster was talking about Saddam.
Graner is NOT married to Lynndie England.;he knocked here up,is all.And he was repeatedly told to NOT "fraternize" with her,for several reason...not the least of which was his rank and hers.

The people in abu ghraib technically weren't terrorists. They were legit prisoners of war and many of them civilians. Not everyone who fought against in Iraq were terrorist. If we're going to want people to call this abuse and not torture, then we should likewise practice correct terminology. I seem to recall reports that many of the prisoners in that area of the prison were common criminals, i.e. looters, etc..
