Star Mangled Banner
15 January 05
ALI G star Sasha Baron Cohen was almost lynched by angry Americans after taking a prank too far at a rodeo.
Cohen, posing as his Kazakhstani journalist character Borat, insulted people in Salem, singing a mangled version of the American national anthem.
"If he had been out there a minute longer, I think someone would have shot him," said one local.
Cohen told them he supported the war on terrorism and said: "I hope you kill every man, woman and child in Iraq, down to the lizards."

Insulting one's host country is a never a good idea. Trying to denigrate a country's national anthem is especially perilous behaviour. This very talented son of a British rabbi should have known better.

This what is so shocking about people with a leftist point of view. The cannot fathom or even comprehend, that someone may feel differently about something than they do.
That is why they tell themselves that the election was lost by them because of fraud, marketing or what ever. They cannot imagine that someone would repudiate them.

this guy's show on HBO grows on you. He is a Jewish guy that has several characters that are so wacky, you can't believe he exists safely among ANY population.

He has made a lot of money with his comedy routine, but he has well and truly passed his use-by-date. Some comedians enjoy trying to insult someone else or a group of people without them knowing it. Elitist, egotistical one-upmanship. It is arrogance of the worst sort.
P.S. I have met some Lace Monitor Lizards during my stays at Croajingolong National Park in far South Eastern Australia that were very interesting creatures.
To: Red Sea Swimmer
Sheesh. What a moron. He won't be invited back.

He's also a Kohanim, from the priestly caste of the Jewish people, but I don't think he will have any place in the Messianic government. He might just get an occasional gig as the substitute court jester, or he just might be consigned to traveling around the world working at small, insignificant shows at divey bars in western towns.

Isn't Ali G from England? If so revoke his visa and never let him return. if not, oh well...

Insulting folks at a rodeo no less! NOT a wise idea for a variety of reasons.

They lack empathy. They actually think their philosophical position is higher which thus justifies their behaviour.

I've been to a few Rodeos and found them to be very interesting spectacles. It is not my favourite sport to watch, (taste in sport is a bit like taste in music and food, there are many possibilities and we all have our natural preferences) but I respect the skill and courage shown by the riders.

Any truth the rumor he is part of the half time show at this years Super Bowl?

... This very talented son of a British rabbi should have known better. Maybe, but if you were familiar with Cohen's "Borat" skits, you know he plays it WAY over the edge. It amazes me that he isn't punched out regularly.
That said, I find him hilarious. But that's just me.
