She better not wind up in the hospital.

It's my understanding that hospitals use yellow bracelets to indicate "Do Not Resuscitate"

"The worlds of fashion, fund-raising and patient safety have collided, and the result is a rainbow of colored bracelets that can indicate either support for scientific research or the contents of a patient's living will. At issue are bracelets that show support for a cause and are the same color as the bracelets hospitals use to identify patients with do-not-resuscitate orders or for other designations. There are concerns about patient safety because, even though the bracelets are made of different materials, the similar colors might cause confusion during an emergency."

I sort of felt ashamed, and didn't really want to be associated with being an American," said Rothchild, who lives in New York City and voted for John Kerry.
Her mother had a suggestion: bracelets,

How utterly vapid, and yet, illustrative of the liberal mindset.

Ignoring their misguided 'shame' for a moment, it is interesting to note that, in the world of a liberal, all that is needed to remove shame is...a bracelet.

Perhaps if Bill Clinton had just worn a bracelet listing the many definitions of "is", he could have held his head high during his impeachment...

"I DID NOT VOTE 4 BUSH."

Why the propensity for "4" instead of "for?" Doesn't this just echo the bad education that Democrats foster by supporting the NEA? This substitution rubs me the wrong way; must be the professor in me or something.

Lenin had a term for these kind of intellectually and morally "superior" beings - Useful Idiots.

"It's kind of like saying, 'This is my tribe,"' said Adams, 43, a Kerry supporter, who was inspired by her 14-year-old stepson's yellow Lance Armstrong band."

Anyone that uses the word "tribe" is suspect (unless it's "Indian tribe". And notice how she got her inspiration from a 14 year old.

I was thinking maybe they could just put a big 666 on their foreheads for fast and easy recognition.

Mr recreation for the last two weeks is scanning the photos and signs on "sorryeverybody.com."

I absolutely love this site. It reinforces every malicious stereotype I have about Kerry voters. These people look just like the pathetic losers in my town with Kerry bumper stickers and yard signs. And, I am so happy to see them miserable.

I take about 5 minutes at a time (there are 8000 photos) and enjoy every one.

John Rothchild, a Miami Beach, Fla., resident who voted for Bush, has invested in 5,000 "COUNT ME RED" bracelets.
He has hired his daughter's boyfriend, who created her Web site, to create his, which he launched this week.

URL, anyone?

They might as well wear a sign saying, "Hi, I'm stupid." This kind of nonsense reminds of another form of marking, done in the early 1940's:

Here's three guys waiting at the train station for their one-way ride to a Nazi transit camp.

"This is my tribe"? Wow. Personally, I think that my civilization has surpassed being in tribes. But maybe it's just me.

Somehow, I don't think a bracelet is necessary to distinguish a liberal.
We shall know them by their whiny voices, their angry countenance, their illogical hate speech and their general disdain for America.
Take the test- when a liberal and a conservative are debating on a talk show, turn down the sound and 100 times out of a 100, you can pick out the liberal just by how they appear.
The morose ,squinting individual that oozes gloom is the liberal Democrat.
The closest they can come to a smile is a rictal grimace.
Howard Dean, James Carville and Paul Begala are the exceptions.
In their case, they look like asylum residents who just found out that the day room ran out of pudding cups.
