Man, I was channel surfing the other night and they were showing some maximum security prison in California. The guards were explaining how they try to keep order. This particular prison was exclusively for gang members. They showed how they isolate anyone that murders in prison, and explained how common it is. The said the since they have so many lifers, they don't even bother "wasting system resources" prosecuting them. They just try to keep them isolated. All I could think was "why are these people even alive?"
