He is right about a few things, there ARE some whacko's here, and there are some threads that are embarrasing. That's the problem. The Lefters and DU'rs will compile as long a list they can of these and hold them up to the world to show how "nuts" we are. They will do anything to find even the smallest trace of hypocracy or extremism and formulat propaganda around that incident. It's how they play politics, too. Any forum has a broad spectrum of posters and there will be extremes at either end in any given one. On the other hand, we could make a longer list of the juvenile whining on the DU, but my sock drawers neds organizing.

Brain Damage
The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.
The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

"Homophobic is the fear of homosexuals"I say that every time some mentions 'homophobia'. I may not approve of their lifestyle, or support their agenda, but I certainly do not 'fear' them. This term goes into the newspeak dictionary somewhere ahead of 'right to choose' as an attempt to change people's thought process.

You probably don't know much about Free Republic unless you are a right-wing lunatic. I thought it was 'no name calling' week?

What was Corsi's handle here on FR?
On another subject, I don't remember Lucienne leaving because FR was too extreme. She and Jonathan started their own BBS (with links to FR) at the time. I do recall that she was involved in some very acrimonious flame wars right before she left, but it escapes my now senior memory as to who the two primary libs were that she was battling with.

What where the Swifty comments that where so racist? I was lurking here around then, but don't remember anything like that. Anyone know??
I also love the fact that this member of a "special class" feels free to call Drudge gay as an insult. Which since it is right next to wing nut, is clearly meant to be degrading to Drudge. Yet would probably call us racist homophobes for doing the same
Gotta love hippie hypocrisy

Your post will simply be deleted, despite its owner's celebration of freedom of speech. The owner has stated that he will delete as needed, preserving his site for the furtherance of his vision of conservatism. Free speech doesn't rule at FR, never has, and Jim Robinson never promised free speech.
This doesn't conflict with celebrating free speech in society overall.
