And somehow that thing is, according to teh article doing this:
"Corona police Sergeant Jerry Rodriguez says a series of rainstorms caused water level to rise, to the point where the dam is releasing 10-thousand cubic feet of water per second."
Per second.
Ouch.

I can just imagine the water level at the creek shown on that picture is at the level of the bridge.

I hope the numbers are correct, since I grabbed them from the article.
Sounds like a heck of an amount of stress to put that thing under.

Another page at the same source has real time data and confirms the current flow.

Does anyone have formulae to determine what the hydrostatic pressure would be relative to the rise in water level??

I don't, but there are engineering types here that may.
And if they don't know it, they know who to grab it from.

This has been going on for a few days. They evacuated the horses from the area on Wed/Thurs to LA County Fairgrounds.

Does anyone have formulae to determine what the hydrostatic pressure would be relative to the rise in water level?? As measured at the base of the damn, pressure would rise ~1 psi for every 2 ft of level increase. I.e., level rises 10 ft, pressure rises ~5 psi.

Please keep us posted. I have family in Anaheim Hills.
I wonder if Corona airport is flooded? It is just to the right of the right edge of the picture.
