Back in the late 80's/early 90's, I used to go with some buddies to see Braves games in Fulton County Stadium. Outfield seats went for something like $3, and they let folks bring in coolers (as long as there was no alcohol or glass containers) and food from the outside.
I remember seeing Mom, Dad, two kids coming in with a bucket of the Colonel's finest. I thought, OK, that's 12 bucks for tickets, figure 10 for chicken, Dad gets a beer at the stadium, and the whole family has had a great time for less than $30.
Now, I'm not sure if you can even get an outfield seat in most ballparks for less than $30. I've heard that minor league games still have that community spirit I loved so much back in the day, so I may check that out.
also the Green Bay Press Gazette
Although I'm far from being a football fan, I do read the Philadelphia papers and watch the local news on television. Philadelphia fans are animals, literally. He does that and his chance of getting out of Philadelphia with his front wiggler in tact is pretty poor.
I think in Philly he won't get the chance for another celebration.
I'd say you must live in West Virginia :)
Just kiddin'...a little bit of humor on a wet, nasty day.
Ever hung around until the team buses leave?
It was reported in the Star Tribune, and Tony Dungy strikes me as the last person who would defend Randy Moss.
I'll have to get in touch with a friend of mine who is a diehard Green Bay fan and ask him if he knew of it.
Yeah, but do they pretend to wipe their asses on the goal posts too ... like Randy did?
That wouldn't suprise me. The Vikings are not a good football team and neither are the Packers. After watching both of them intermittently this fall, I came to the conclusion that whoever won the NFC North should have the courtesy to donate that playoff position to another more deserving team.
I say we televise the war on terror. :^D
Give the Marines jerseys, work up a scoring system, and start taking bets. I know I'd watch it.
Me too!
Proposed scoring system: 6 points for a head shot,
3 points for a torso shot,
and 1 extra point if the head-shot punk was about to throw a bomb!
If I "fake mooned" our customers where I work I would be out the door in minutes. What's the difference? Oh yeah he makes the Vikings more money by doing it. I get it.
I agree with you on the Bonds thing. MSNBC site had a slide show that you could click on every year of his pro career for a picture of him. His transformation has been more dramatic than that of David Banner turning into the Hulk. You just don't get that big by working out and taking vitamins.
I said it before, I have seen worse. What Moss did was harmless.
Chartreuse pin stripe for the Air Force. LOL!!!Don't forget the matching sneakers.
Not a bad strategy...more money for the military boots, better salaries for great "coaches", bonuses for least collateral damage in an operation, cheerleaders would be assigned to the hospitals to give, um, comfort and cheer of course, as nurses (what man wouldn't watch that?), all televised for our viewing enjoyment. Not bad.
They could also sell sponsorships like NASCAR, stadiums and college bowls do. Imagine the Chico's Bail Bonds Air Force bombing Tostito's Fallujah. ;^)
This isn't the first time Moss has done something like this. How about his walking off the field the week before? How about his yelling and arguing with the coaches and his teammates. Shoot, if this had been the first time he pulled a stunt... maybe the repercussions wouldn't be so bad, but it isn't. The guy is a trouble maker and not a gentleman player by any sense of definition. He's a spoiled rotten, albeit, talented jerk. As far as "stringing him up"... I never said anything like that... I just don't like him, I'm entitled to my opinion and if you don't like it... who cares. So there!
I am a rabid Viking fan, and this crap is just that...crap. Thanks, Moss, for making my team the most hated in America.
3) Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy shed some light over what has become an overblown situation with Vikings prima donnauh, wide receiverRandy Moss and his now-infamous faux moon touchdown celebration. Dungy, who made many visits to Green Bay as an assistant coach with Minnesota and as head coach at Tampa Bay, revealed on ESPN Sportscenter that some Cheeseheads have an interesting way of saying goodbye to a losing visiting team. Some fans will line up in the parking lot and drop trou when the team bus heads off.
If you dont know anything about Tony Dungy, then you need to understand this: The man doesnt say much, but you can bank on what he does say. So he has no incentive to make this up. Other players may have had visions of doing what Randy Moss did. But only Randy Moss had the guts to do it. Im not condoning what he did, mind you, but maybe Green Bay fans will consider simply waving at the visiting team when they leave Titletown.

Moss agent, Dante DiTrapano, said the fine was unnecessary and that he plans to appeal.
DiTrapano argued that there was a story behind the dance Moss did in the end zone. The pantomimed pants-pulling was a response to Green Bay fans tradition of mooning the visiting teams bus in the parking lot.

Do a google search for more. These are only printed reports. I've heard this story all over TV and radio tha past few days and not only from the same people. Maybe you should ask your "friends".
I'm defending the original poster who you were a bit of a smart alec to. I in no way support Randy Moss. Check my other posts on the subject of the thug. I was born, raised, and still live within a few miles of DuPont High School. I cringe everytime it's mentioned that he's from here.
