Oh, good grief. When I was a teenager, my friends and I used to think swastikas were cool too. We didn't understand what they meant. Harry's a young kid. Give him a break.
He's also a royal of England, a nation that was on the direct front line of the Nazi assault. Furthermore, you want the position of a Royal, well welcome to the world of responsability that comes with it.
By the way, at 20, he is a legal adult.
20 years old is a young kid? At that age, he really ought to know better. I don't buy the excuse that he didn't understand the meaning of a swastika.
Oh my gosh, the only other voice of reason I've read here on FR. Why doesn't everyone mind their own business and attend to their own costumes? Good grief, such a hullaballoo!
There was a poll just a few weeks ago showing that a majority (fairly large I think) of 15-35yr olds in UK had never heard of Auschwitz.
I dressed up as the devil for Halloween one year. The DEVIL has to be worse then wearing a swastika armband, but nobody flashed my picture across the worlds media. What does a poor peasant boy have to do to get soon press?

He is 20 years old, not a pre-teen.
Nazi symbol - attractive?
Not even my 8 yo is unaware of it's meaning.
It's like showing up wearing a terrorist pilot suit of one of the planes that hit on 911. Or dressing up as a dead princess diana - still with seat belt on.
Get responsible and aware, people!
Damn, it's a COLD world!
Exactly. He showed very poor judgement and he is obviously immature. Given the fact that he lost his mother when he was very young and has a father who showed more interest in Camilla than Diana, he's probably acting out. I don't think he's particularly bright but I don't really know that. It's just an assumption from what I've heard Brits saying on TV, however. I'm sure he just thought of it as a lark but the press, as always, has blown it out of proportion.
