I don't know why Parliament doesn't require DNA tests of all the royals. Would put rumors like this to bed--or bear them out.

Now, it does not really matter.

However, if Prince William were to abdicate his rights to the throne (as Edward VIII did) or if he met an unfortunate demise, it would be the responsibility of Parliament to ensure that the King of England was actually descended from the Royal line.
