He must be trying to take some of the wind out of the lefts sails on the issue. That's all I can figure.

And hey, he doesn't have to talk the talk, just walk the walk. I don't see him apologizing for exterminating all the vermin we've been exterminating lately. Time will tell and I assume there is a calculated reason for bringing this up.

He's bringing this up because he made some statements that he's not willing to backup. That's the bottom line. The tough talk after 9-11 energized all of us... and the reality was backing out of Fallujah and other events of that nature because of politics.
