"Watch his behavior, appointments, etc. and consider the bias of the article before you overreact to this. He's pushing conservatism and strength with his actions, and that's what counts.......not what he said to Bawbwah as written by Reuters, IMO."

Absolutely agree.

"He's pushing conservatism..."

Tax cuts are nice but where are the spending cuts (Not cuts in the rate of growth) and the terminating of programs that are ineffective?

I voted for Pres. Bush with the realization of the pandering phrase "compassionate conservative" but to claim he is actually "pushing" for less government is a lie. Pres. Bush is using the Federal Government to promote his "compassion". The conservative part is just a few small tokens.

Taking action on Social Security is a start but there are over 2 trillion other problems with our bloated bureaucracy that needs to be reformed or killed. Republicans (I know, RINOs are among them) better start proving PJ O'Rourke wrong:

"Democrats are...the party that says government can make you richer, smarter, taller and get the chickweed out of your lawn. Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work, and then they get elected to prove it."

Have you noticed how many people have gotten upset by this? (Or more likely, are just using this thread as an excuse to bash the President because they can't stand him in the first place).

I guess the destruction of the Taliban, the destruction of the Baathist party, the death of Saddam's boys and emprisonment of Saddam, not to mention the freedom of 50,000,000 people means nothing to these malcontents.

I laugh hysterically when I see keyboard commanders say that our Commander in Chief has no courage.

Even if he DID say he 'regrets' saying those things (which I doubt he did), what he has DONE is what counts.

And, IMO, historically speaking, what he has done through his courage is nothing short of astounding.

(I'm still laughing that anyone thinks he's HENPECKED! LOL!)
