"Well, Muslims and Arabs don't portray themselves very well in general, now do they? If they didn't constantly behave in such an uncivilized way, then maybe they wouldn't be portrayed that way."
Is murdering one-third of your babies by abortion civilized?

Can't GW declare CAIR a terrorist support agency and shut em down ?

You need to do a Google search on "fallacies of distraction." Specifically the complex question.
For what reason would you conclude that I favor abortion? In the few months since you've joined FR, I've never posted any statements on abortion but those to the contrary. But I am aware that you enjoy being an agitator. In that case, I suggest you take your need to fight elsewhere. I make it a point not to converse with the intellectually unarmed.

My goodness like that is really far fetched. Well it looks like the PC police is at it again. Perhaps Germans should complain the next time they show Nazis. After all not all Germans are Nazis. Unfreakinbeliveable!

Kudos to the producers and cast of "24".
To: FormerACLUmember
Although already gripping, "24" went up several notches in my book when they added the mesmerizing, oddly beautiful and very talented Iranian actress Shoreh Aghdashloo to their cast for the new season, where she plays the casually ruthless Mother in the family of Muslim terrorist spies.
She should have won the Supporting Oscar for her (more benevolent) character in House of Sand and Fog, not that damn Renee Zellweger. ARGH! Will justice ever be served?
An Emmy for "24" would be a nice start.
P.S.= I'm not very proficient with my computer, but if anybody has a pic of Aghdashloo they are willing to post it (Please?!)

This one is a little better (she looks so harsh in "24", but she is quite pretty):

I watched the first four hours, and I can't recall ONE piece of innuendo or statement that any of the terrorists were Muslim. Not one of the Arab characters made any reference to Allah or religion. So, isn't CAIR the ones who are stereotyping?

She was great in HOSAF.
Terrific....I had to look her up then.
A handsome woman.

Thanx a bunch, DOAIJV. Aghdashloo really is a very beautiful woman when she isn't being made to look "dowdy" for a role. Even then, she had a few scenes in House of Sand and Fog where her beauty managed to shine through.

Yeah, House of Sand and Fog is an underrated film for sure. I thought it was one of the best actor's showcases of 2003, with great performances from the Oscar-nominated Aghdasshloo and Ben Kingsley and the ever-radiant Jennifer Connelly, as well as a moving, character-driven screenplay.

To be honest, Mooselimbs are generally so steeped in the superstitions of the seventh century that they can't help but stereotype themselves. I am getting away from the subject a trifle, but I suspect that radical Islam is a sort of renunciation of the present, and this war is at bottom a struggle over two concepts of time. I've often wished to throw off the yoke of nanoseconds and late Enlightenment rationalism, but of course I would never do such a thing. But wouldn't it be grand at some level to repeal Voltaire? Forgive my digression.

The Fox television network said on Thursday it will provide its stations with TV spots that portray Muslims in a favorable way after it received complaints for featuring followers of Islam as terrorists on its hit television show "24." Gee...what will the CAIR droids say when the next 9/11 documentary airs? That it "unfairly portrays Muslims as terrorists" too?
Here's a little suggestion to America's Muslims: don't lie down with dogs and you won't get up with fleas. If you don't like being portrayed as terrorists and terrorist sympathizers, then kick the rotten bastards out of your damned mosques and quitcherbitchen.
