EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota's Randy Moss was fined $10,000 Thursday by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct during the celebration of his fourth-quarter touchdown catch last week _ in which he pretended to pull down his pants and moon the Green Bay crowd.

Moss also briefly bumped the goalpost with his back end before hugging teammates in the end zone after that game-clinching score in the Vikings' 31-17 wild-card playoff game victory over the Packers.

This is over the top. Green Bay fans are rude, IMO. I have been going to NFL games since 1987. Every time we play Green Bay at home, the city announces that a new record number of arrests were made after the game. Close to 1000 this year.

We had a visiting Green Bay fan this year boldly walk into our stadium, sit right in the midst of all our season ticket holders. The true ticket holder arrived and had to call security. They guy had to be cuffed and dragged away - all the time insisting - "I sit here for all the Packer games." !! The most interesting part - he didn't seem to be impaired. I do think the cheese had slid from his cracker though.

Here is Moss's response to the fine.

"Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand, to me?" said Moss, whose salary this season is $5.75 million. He then jokingly suggested he might perform a more vulgar celebration next time.

Fame without honor is nothing my friend.

"Fame without honor is nothing my friend."

It's the whole hip hop glamorization thing. We have at least one more generation of young people raised on this garbage. Slowly, it seems some (Bill Cosby, Essence Magazine) are starting to get the picture.
