EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota's Randy Moss was fined $10,000 Thursday by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct during the celebration of his fourth-quarter touchdown catch last week _ in which he pretended to pull down his pants and moon the Green Bay crowd.
Moss also briefly bumped the goalpost with his back end before hugging teammates in the end zone after that game-clinching score in the Vikings' 31-17 wild-card playoff game victory over the Packers.

typo and addition....
When was the last time Brett Farve mooned your fans? and wiped himself on your goalposts?
You want the government to monitor fan behavior?
I would think that a public mooning of a visiting team's bus might violate some ordinance/law. Public indecency comes to mind.
Hmmm. I can't find anything that says FOX cut anything. I know they didn't show the replay of his little act.
What about on national tv? How you going to pinpoint who violated what ordinace on a crowded bus as compared to one guy wiping his beehind on during a playoff game shown on national tv? When was the last time Brett Farve mooned Viking fans?
They didn't cut anything, they didn't air it.
I didn't watch the game and I don't have a team. Mos and the Packer fans who moon visiting team buses are all immature jerks. The media and the NFL are giving this way too much attention.
re basically saying, if Randy Moss is going to go pretend to moon the Green Bay crowd and then wipe his pretend nude butt on the Green Bay goalpost, where are ...
Rush was all over this the other day. Anyway, it's really no use arguing with Viking fans. Until Moss has 3 mvp's under his belt, he's really not worthy of comparison, and is just another lowlife in the world of sports.
Too much attention? there's nothing about it out there. Moss wiped his hiney on the goalposts and you condone this behavior. And you want the government to monitor fan behavior. Alrighty then.
But other people should pay up for allowing this to happen. HOW ABOUT THE GREEN BAY PACKERS? Especially the so-called "defenders" on the field at the time. Is that how much pride they have in their legendary team, home field, and fans? They just sit and watch while the biggest punk in the league pretends to pull his britches down, moon the fans, and then wipe his dirty rump on their goal post??? At least the Cowboys had a little pride and went after Terrell Owens a few years ago when T.O. tried to dishonor the STAR at mid-field after scoring a T.D. SOME Packer should have ran over to Moss and tackled him. Oh, wait, they haven't hardly made any tackles this year, I almost forgot. Seriously, where was the Packers' pride? So what if you get a penalty, or even get kicked out of the game?! Maybe it would have given Green Bay and the fans some energy.
I didn't condone it. I said Moss is a jerk. I merely pointed out that some Packer fans were the inspiration for Moss' behavior in this instance. And don't tell me there isn't even a bit of humor in it. Somewhat crass, but still a bit humorous.
Not humorous at a playoff game in front of 50K fans where the tv nets had to censor it, it's not humorous to wipe your fecal matter off your rear end on the oposing teams' goalposts, I guess your defination of humor differs than mine. It might be humorous on a busload of drunk fans, pulling down their pants and showing their butts, not on national TV with a multimillion dollar player who is supposedly the 'leader' of the team. It's a huge difference. So, you haven't answered my question, when did Brett Farve do this to viking fans?
I'd love to see Jack give Moss a couple of "chucks" at the line.
Ah, good memories.

Come on, you people: it's F-A-V-R-E.
Now the poor guy can't afford a haircut...
Exactly. There'd by a whole lot less of this crap if the opposing players would step up.
$10,000 sounds about right to me -- maybe $9999 would have been perfect.
Now agreed -- Moss Is:
A Jerk,
A Fool,
An Ingrate,
A Dunce,
Immature,
UnCouth,
Crass,
A Disrespectful Trouble-maker,
And the best Wide Receiver in the NFL,
But in today's sports climate, this is hardly the worst offense going on -- I think there are some convicted felon's in the Pro-Bowl, and some others that are using steroids --- Right?
Still on the subject of butts -- I'm afraid the entire Viking Line-up is going to get their's kicked, when they play Philadelphia.
Or to put it another way...
The Two Best QB's in the League will be playing in the Eagles/Vikings Game, but Philadelphia has a whole team, and Minnesota has Randy Moss and Dante Culpepper.
{The above post assumes that Payton Manning is Out Of Everyone's League, and maybe not from the same planet.}
The 10K fine is a joke. Did you hear what his response was to the punishment given? I believe he said something like wait to see see what I shake the next time.
This statement could have been a lot worse had he been driving a SUV. ;-)

"Ain't nothing but 10 grand," he (Moss) said as he stood at the door of his automatically started, warming truck in sub-zero temperatures late Thursday afternoon. "What's 10 grand to me?"
