McGreevy, Oprah, and the Gay Agenda...(Oprah live thread)
ABC ^ | 13 Jan 05 | gobucks

Posted on 01/13/2005 1:42:08 PM PST by gobucks

It's about halfway through Oprah's T.V. show today, where she is terrorizing millions of american wives by making them wonder if their husbands are secretly gay.

This is one of sickest episodes of Oprah yet! But, the way this show started was to talk about how N.J. Gov Jim McGreevy came out, and how his wife handled it.

Then, the kicker. At about 4:25 pm, Oprah says to one hapless dude who is spilling his guts on T.V. about how he cheated on his wife this gem: - "studies show the number one reason gays marry women is Church and Family", right?

Church, Oprah? Church, ABC? So, the MSM has no agenda?

This show is an example of why our nation is utterly a mess at the hands of these godless MSM types who shove this crap into TVs across the nation, filled w/ latch key kids. Oprah and Jerry Springer and Povich are all the same...

Now THAT we can agree on. I love Larry Elder. He's one of the main reasons I got my XM radio!

Wow he's on XM? I've been eying the new XM2go. I've been upset ever since WABC took him off the radio. His tv show is okay. It's way better than what's on at the same time, and his take on racial issues is much more conservative than everyone else. Rather listen to radio than watch tv though.

My wife use to get her magazine. I saw an article that basically said if you and the girls want a change in the routine, plan a tea party. Great idea right?

Their interpretation of planning a tea party was to all go out and buy new dresses and hats. Toss on your best jewlery,or go buy more if you need to. Have the party catered because of course, your in new dresses. And have it catered somewhere other than your homes because you need a change of scenery and who wants the clean up....all for a mere low price of a couple grand. What nonsense and B.S. I can't stand the chick. She really irks me!

"She really irks me!"

Me too. And usually, I just ignore her. It was the 'church' cause gay men to marry straight women comment that drove me over the edge...

I wouldn't say I have vitriol for Oprah, but here is the problem I have with her. It is a free country, she can say what she wants, promote socialism, decry the Second Amendment, be anti-war or be completely anti-familiy. She has a soap-box she can preach from, and there are a lot of sheep listening each day, hanging on her every word like it is gospel.

It is my right, as an American, to not only disagree with her, but to dislike her agenda, and by extension, think she is lacking as a person. She may be very nice and believes in what she feels, but being nice and believing in yourself or your cause doesn't make you a good person, and especially not intrinsically right, except to yourself. Case in point (and please, I am NOT comparing Oprah Winfrey to Hitler, I am using him as a case in point) Hitler believed in what he was doing, and could be very nice and considerate to various people. He loved his dog...but he was a very bad guy.

Think Dixie Chicks. They can say what they want. I do not have to buy their albums, and that is not political oppression, discrimination or whatever. It is my choice. I may dislike Oprah, but if people want to stare google eyed at her while she elevates what is bad for society, in my opinion, that is her (and their) choice.

It is my choice to disagree. However, I agree-some view her as the epitome of what is wrong with America, and paint her as the anti-Christ. I personally think she is a rich, well meaning person who has a large audience, and is...wrong. As such, I believe she misuses her responsibility.

If you get the portable XM, I think it's called MyFi, let me know how you like it. When the price goes down, I'd like to get one too.
