I didn't hear Rush today, but I remember back in 1994 when Rush still had a TV show that he kept replaying a clip of Ted Kennedy at a rally with Bill Clinton, and he said "and after you reelect old Kennedy, we're going to reelect Bill Clinton, as mumble mumble mumble mumble." Rush played it at least 5 times, then slowed it down, then played it backwards, until he finally clued us in on what Kennedy had said at the end: "as unelectable as the rest of us." Unfortunately, Ted proved correct, and he was reelected in 1994 (over Mitt Romney) and Clinton did manage to con his way back into the White House in 1996.

I've got that on an old VCR recording of Rush's TV shows. It's priceless comic relief. This ranks right up there with ole Ted's comments a few years ago about "Mike McGuire and Sammy Suser" as well.
